Kathleen Uren is a concert pianist. She attended Barrow Grammar School for Girls and studied at Manchester University and the Royal Manchester College of Music. Her work has encompassed solo recitals, accompaniment, orchestral playing, and her favourite genre, chamber music. She has worked with the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras, and was tutor of piano and chamber music coach at Chetham’s School of Music for many years. She is also a keen genealogist.
